I am Ukrainian. My country has been invaded by Russia. In this video I will tell you what happened on the five hundred thirty seventh day of the war.
Day 537: Aug 14
Today there are a lot of updates from the Kherson region.
Here, after Ukrainians finally broke Russian resistance in front of Oleshky and established a powerful bridgehead, Ukrainians shifted their focus to the northern part of the region. The main goal of Ukrainian forces is to drive Russians away from the eastern bank of the river, gain as many footholds as possible, and set conditions for a much more comprehensive attack.
The first thing Ukrainians did was undermine Russian defensive capabilities on this section of the front line. Geolocated footage shows that there were huge explosions in Nova Kahovka. Later, Ukrainian military officials confirmed that Ukrainians had successfully destroyed a Russian command post. And this is extremely important because Russians are controlling from here the whole region.
Next, Ukrainians started targeting Russian reserves. By destroying Russian reserves, Ukrainians were making sure that Russians would not be able to react to unexpected developments and block Ukrainian advancement. Recently, Ukrainian reconnaissance drone operators detected that Russians were yet again using columns to move through the region. Ukrainians once again exploited this opportunity, tracked them down, and destroyed Russian reinforcements.
The next logical step became destroying Russian ammunition depots. The first target of the Ukrainian strike became an ammunition depot near Krynky. But the biggest strikes happened in Oleshky. Here Ukrainians destroyed 2 ammunition depots in just one strike. The explosion was much more powerful, indicating that Russians indeed lost tons of ammunition and equipment.
After that, Ukrainians evaluated the situation and identified a weak spot in the Russian defense, which turned out to be near Kozachi Laheri. Geolocated footage shows that Ukrainians tracked down and destroyed Russian reconnaissance teams that were operating in the region, significantly diminishing understanding of the situation in this sector. Ukrainian sources reported that Russians lost up to 17 troops killed in action, including a high-ranking officer.
In preparation for the ground operations, Ukrainians conducted intense artillery preparation on the Russian positions in and around the village, undermining the Russian defense. Finally, Ukrainians also unleashed their kamikaze drones to target whoever was still left in the trenches on the zero line.
Later at night, Ukrainians conducted an amphibious operation and assaulted Russian positions on the eastern bank of the river. Some sources reported that Ukrainians used 7 boats and 50 troops in total. This was enough to breach the primary line of defense and advance by up to 1 km within hours. Everything happened so quickly that the battalion commander did not understand where his forces disappeared. He went to check on them but got right into the Ukrainian trap. As it turned out, Ukrainians effectively jammed communication and swiftly captured not only Russian positions but also a lot of Russian soldiers, including the commander of the battalion.

Drone photography is an exciting way to capture images and video footage. There are downsides to flying a small plane.
The main disadvantage to flying drones is their high cost. It can cost hundreds to thousands depending on which drone you buy.
You will need to be certified and trained to fly a drone.
Safety is another downside. Drones pose a danger because they are constantly in need of repair and maintenance. You could inflict serious injury or property damage if you lose control of your drone when taking photos or filming videos.
It is possible that you spend more time flying a drone than taking photos or filming footage. Your drone might not have enough airspace to fly.
Some local governments restrict where you can fly your unmanned aerial vehicle. You can't fly over 400 feet or within 5 miles of stadiums or hospitals, schools, prisons or other military bases, as well as nuclear power plants and dams.
Drones might not be right for everyone. These machines can cause anxiety for some people who fear that they may crash or fall from the skies. Some people worry about accidentally hitting another person or object.
You might be uncomfortable flying a drone. Instead, you can try traditional aerial photography or videography.
These drones are great for beginners as they don't require any advanced skills. These drones include those equipped with an FPV camera that allows users to remotely control the drone using a smartphone app.
Some quadcopters are specifically made for aerial photography. You may choose a multirotor if your goal is to explore advanced features such an autonomous flight mode or obstacle avoidance.
There are two types: the cheap drones that cost less than $100 and the more expensive drones that cost over $300.
The cheapest models tend to have a limited range, battery life, and flight time. The more expensive models feature greater performance and longer flight durations.
Because they are easier to control and operate, most beginners choose to purchase cheaper models. If you intend to fly your drone for hours, however, you might consider buying a more expensive model.
Drones are growing in popularity every day. Drones offer amazing aerial shots of our houses and businesses. They are also great for delivering goods to large areas or capturing footage of sporting events. However, drones are still subject to very few regulations. They are banned in some states, and restricted in others.
Drones that are flown during daylight hours are quite safe. However, night-time operation can pose dangers. The safety of you and other pilots is at risk when flying drones at night. Because it is hard to spot hazards and obstacles, mistakes made by pilots could cause an accident.
Drones have become increasingly popular. We need to be able to safely use them. There are two main types currently: fixed-wing or rotary-wing drones. Fixed-wing drones are generally smaller and easier to control compared to rotary-wing models. A fixed-wing model typically has four propellers whereas a model with a rotary wing has only one.
To avoid potential accidents, you should become familiar with your local laws and ensure that your drone is always within your reach. You should also ensure your drone is equipped with lights. Make sure they flash red or green. This will make it easier to identify potential dangers. Protect your camera lens from damage if you intend to take photos. Protective goggles are also recommended for drone pilots.
Drone flying at night presents a variety of dangers including collisions with power lines and trees as well as buildings. A drone could also become lost or fall from the skies. Keep your drone clear of obstructions and close to the ground. Drones can be exposed to wind gusts and abrupt weather changes. These conditions can cause your drone to lose control and crash land.
Although drones are becoming increasingly popular, they come with potential health risks. These drones can emit noises that can cause hearing loss and headaches. Additionally, drone vibrations can cause injury to the body. You could also face legal action and fines for flying drones without an operator licence.
The best way to prevent drone accidents is to follow the above guidelines. Your drone must be kept within your line-of-sight when you are flying it. Avoid flying close to airports. Flying your drone over water increases the risk of a collision.
