Frequently Asked Questions

Which drone do you recommend for beginners?

It is easy to fly a drone, and the best drones for beginners. These drones include those equipped with an FPV camera that allows users to remotely control the drone using a smartphone app.

Some quadcopters were specifically designed for aerial photography. Multirotor models are better suited for advanced features like obstacle avoidance and autonomous flight mode.

The drones come in two price categories: low-cost ones under $100 and high-end ones over $300.

The cheapest models tend to have a limited range, battery life, and flight time. The more expensive models feature greater performance and longer flight durations.

Many beginners prefer to buy cheaper models because they are easier for them to handle and to learn how to use. If you plan to fly your drone for many hours, you might consider buying an expensive model.

Can drone photography make you money?

Photographers trying to make a living from drones face the greatest problem: there aren’t many products available that can solve the problems of flying them. The experience is less enjoyable if there's no quality software and equipment.

Also, you need to be aware of liability and insurance issues. This is why most photographers opt to take photos from the ground. We're talking about a new way to capture images that could lead to you being paid.

Drones capture light in a similar way to video cameras. Why not create stunning photos using the same technology?

Companies are already making great strides toward creating photo-quality images taken from above. We've spoken before about DJI and GoPro. But now we're starting to see more and more companies enter the space.

These cameras are not only great for aerial photography, but they also work well on the ground. All the major manufacturers are investing heavily to develop their imaging technologies.

This means that one day you might be able to purchase a drone with 4K video and incredible photography capabilities. This may be happening already. DJI is one of the companies that has started to release higher-resolution Phantom series drones.

DJI's Inspire 2 recently came out with a 12-megapixel sensor, capable of shooting at 5120x3456 Pixels. And if you want to shoot in RAW format, you can record 8-bit files at 30 frames per second.

Yes, drone photos can be a great way to make some extra cash.

Can drones shoot nighttime photos?

Yes. But it's been a long-standing tradition. Since decades, we have been taking night shots.

There is one catch. Night photography requires specialized equipment. There's no way to do it with any camera that costs less than $10k.

Light bounces back when it hits an object in a series wavelengths.

These wavelengths can be combined to form white light over very long distances.

This is why you can still see colors in the distance even though the sun may be millions of kilometers away.

The opposite is true. When light strikes an object very close to its source it reflects in narrow wavelengths. These wavelengths bounce directly back to us and do not overlap.

This means that objects appear brighter when they are closer to each other. This is how objects glow when exposed to black light.

The energy the object absorbs influences how much light is reflected. If light hits an object, it may reflect less red light than more blue.

Blue light is the most visible to the human eye, so objects will appear more blue if they are seen under black light.

This has to do with drones. If you're trying to photograph something dark, such as a forest or a cave, you need to use a very bright light source.

A regular lamp will not be powerful enough for the illumination of the entire scene. It will give you only a shadowed picture and nothing else.

If you want a good picture, you'll need to use a strobe instead. It's not practical to have a bulky flashgun around, so it's best to get a small one.

Speedlights are also known for their flashes of light that create a stroboscopic effect.

The light pulses across the screen when "stroboscopic" is used. The faster the rate, the better quality of the picture.

We won’t talk about how to setup a Speedlight. But you can find many tutorials online.

We will tell you to make sure that the subject is properly illuminated in order for a clear photograph.

This is achieved by aiming the beam at 45 degrees. The flashgun can be moved to adjust the intensity of the light.

Once you have chosen the best setting, hold your gun steady while you press the shutter release.

Next, close to the subject, release the shutter. This will cause the flashgun's flash to go off again, causing it to send out another blast of light.

The first burst is the most visible, and the second captures the moment after the burst has ended.

The end result is a continuous exposure with both bursts light and recorded.

You now know how to take photos during the day. Let's move onto night photography.

So far I have covered all you need to know about taking night photos.

However, there is still one thing that needs to be addressed: the color balance.

Most people assume that all the images taken at night will be too dark.

This is true even for daytime images.

It doesn’t matter if you’re taking photos at dawn, dusk or both; the camera will always take a darker picture.

Which drones can carry DSLRs?

Drones have become more practical for everyday tasks. Already, drones are equipped with cameras capable of aerial photography.

Although drones have existed for many years, they haven't been used much by most people because they aren’t practical. Drones are often too expensive, noisy and difficult to control.

We created the Drone-A1. It is the first quadcopter with fully autonomous flight that was designed especially for photographers.

The Drone-A1's HD camera can take amazing photos and videos. Its powerful onboard computer allows the Drone-A1 to track any subject automatically.

You can now focus on taking great photos while the Drone-A1 will take care of hovering, flying and following your subject.

Amazing shots can be captured with the Drone-A1 thanks to Smart Follow. Point the Drone-A1 at your subject and it will automatically track and keep you separated.

You will have more freedom and greater convenience shooting with the Drone-A1. It's no longer necessary to worry about holding the camera steady or knowing exactly where your subject will be.

The Drone- A1 also features a built-in GPS that allows you to share your photographs with friends and family. This way, everyone can view your pictures from anywhere in the world.

The Drone-A 1 drone is great for amateur photographers or for casual photography.

How do you fly your drone?

You need to practice flying a drone. Drones are more stable than regular aircraft but it takes practice to become proficient. We recommend that you practice indoors, or close to your house, for beginners.

You will need to be able to perform three skills when learning to fly a drone. These are taking off, hovering and landing.

Taking Off

The drone will take off by simply being lifted into the air. The button on the controller should be pressed until the drone moves upward. After the drone reaches an appropriate height, release the button.

Hovering

Hovering is a way to keep the drone still in midair. To hover, hold down the left or right trigger while pressing the throttle. The drone can be tilted by pressing the throttle and both triggers.

Landing

Landing is when the drone returns safely to the earth. To land, release the throttle. Then tilt the controller toward the ground. The drone will slow down and eventually land.

You can fly your drone if you are comfortable with it. But be careful not to crash into anything.

What kind of drone do professionals use?

Drones can be used to take amazing aerial photos. Drones are extremely useful in capturing aerial images and video footage. But drones also come in handy when surveying land and taking measurements.

These devices are often used for commercial purposes such as mapping large areas or checking construction sites. There are many uses for these devices beyond their business purposes.

For example, drones can provide great entertainment value for families and friends. These machines can be flown in many different ways and taken to new locations. Drones also make it easy to take photos and video of special events.

The sky is the limit with drones. If you've been wondering how to make the most out of your flying machine, keep reading to learn more about these incredible tools.
