This week has seen steady progress on the controversial BlueOval Battery Park Megasite in Marshall, Michigan.
Several pieces of heavy machinery and earthmoving equipment have arrived at the build site.
Earthwork has already begun, with many loads of crushed stone being delivered and pushed into a growing pile. This will likely be used for temporary construction roads to provide a firm base for larger construction and delivery vehicles, as well as to provide staging areas for steel and other building materials.
A large array of irrigation system parts can be seen on the ground next to one of the green and white barns during the video. These irrigation systems were recently removed from the surrounding fields as the area is prepared to be turned into an industrial facility.
The Marshall Fire Department can be seen using a vacant home for emergency training scenarios. Most of the homes along C Drive North have been vacated by the owners, and await demolition. It appears that several smaller fires were lit in various locations within the home in the video, before being quickly extinguished by the crews.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the essentials for drone photography?

Drone photography requires more than just flying a plane. When planning and executing a drone shoot, there are many things to take into consideration. You need to consider everything, from choosing the best location to how much insurance you will need to conduct a successful aerial shoot.

It is important to check that you have permission for drones to be flown in the area where you intend to shoot. This includes finding out what restrictions apply to where and how your drone can be operated. If you find that there are restrictions, you might need to apply for a license in order to fly them.

Also, you should check the regulations in your country. Some countries require permits for drone flying. Others restrict the number and duration of drone flights.

In addition to obtaining permission to fly drones, you'll need to find somewhere safe and secure to land your drone after each flight. You can rent a landing spot from local businesses for around $10 per hour. Also, you will have storage space. A dedicated landing pad can also be purchased.

Before you begin to shoot, you will need to decide which drone you want. Different drones are equipped with different capabilities. Fixed-wing drones, for example, are less expensive and more controllable, while multirotor drones, on the other hand, are more powerful and stable.

After deciding what kind of drone you want to use, you'll need to choose what equipment you'll need. A drone camera usually consists of a gimbal, remote controller, batteries, and memory cards.

Gimbals stabilize the camera while it is in flight. This makes it easier to capture sharp images, without having to worry about dropping the device or shaking hands. To keep the camera stable, the gimbal attaches directly on the drone's body.

Remote controllers enable you to pilot your drone remotely. These devices include joysticks and buttons that let you move the drone forwards, backward, left, and right and adjust its altitude.

Batteries power the drone's motors and cameras, and memory cards store photos taken by the drone. A sufficient amount of battery life is necessary to ensure clear images are taken by the drone.

Once you've decided on the equipment you will need, you can start to plan where to take your photos. Do you prefer to shoot outdoors or indoors? Are you going to photograph architecture or landscapes instead? Which part of the world are you going? All of these factors affect how you'll need to prepare for your shoot.

If you plan to shoot indoors, lighting is an important consideration. Multiple lights are the best way of lighting a room. Consider placing one large lamp above the subject and another near the center. Another light is close to the floor.

Outside, you need to be aware of wind conditions. Drone pilots may experience problems if they are blown off course by windy conditions. It is best to take off only when it is calm.

Think about whether extra equipment is needed when choosing your location. These items will help you keep your drone level stable, so you don't lose quality shots.

For an outdoor shoot, it's advisable to work between 10 am and 4 pm. You won't see too many people during this time but you will still have enough light to take great photos.

To conclude, drone photography isn't just fun and incredibly useful for capturing stunning aerial photographs. You can create amazing images by following a few simple steps.

Can drones shoot nighttime photos?

Yes, that's the answer. But it's been a long-standing tradition. Since the 1970s, we have been taking photographs at night.

There's one problem. Night photography requires specialized equipment. With a camera costing less than $10k, there is no way to do night photography.

When light hits an object, it bounces back in a series of wavelengths.

These wavelengths are combined to produce white light at very far distances from their source.

This is how our eyes are able to see colors even when the sun is miles away.

Instead, light reflects narrow bands of wavelengths when it strikes objects that are close to the source. These wavelengths bounce straight back to us without overlapping.

This means that objects appear brighter when they are closer to each other. This is how objects glow when exposed to black light.

The energy an object absorbs determines how much light it reflects. When light hits an object it will reflect more blue light than red.

The human eye is more sensitive to blue light than objects, so objects appear bluer when they are viewed under blacklight.

What does this have do with drones, then? You need a bright light source if you want to photograph dark objects, such as caves or forests.

A standard lamp will not provide enough illumination to illuminate the whole scene. It will only give you a shadowed image and nothing else.

You will need a strobe if you want to take great photos. It's not practical to have a bulky flashgun around, so it's best to get a small one.

Because they produce flashes that are so rapid, these lights are often called speedlights.

You can see the light pulse across your screen when we say "stroboscopic". The better the picture, the faster the rate.

This tutorial will not cover how to install a Speedlight. There are many tutorials available online.

We will tell, for clear pictures, that you need to ensure that the subject is evenly illuminated.

The beam should be aimed at a 45° angle in order to achieve this. You can adjust the light's intensity by moving the flashgun's head.

Once you have chosen the best setting, hold your gun steady while you press the shutter release.

Next, close to the subject, release the shutter. This will set off the flashgun to start a second burst.

The first burst will illuminate the subject. However, the second burst will capture the moment after it has passed.

The end result is a continuous exposure with both bursts light and recorded.

Now that you are able to take photographs during the day, let us move on to night photography.

I have so far covered everything about how to photograph things at night.

However, there is still one thing that needs to be addressed: the color balance.

Most people assume that all images taken at nights will be too dark.

Yes, it is true. However, it can also be applied to daytime shots.

The camera will always record darker images regardless of whether you are taking photos at dawn and dusk.

How can I get started with drone photography

You have many options to begin photographing with a drone. The first option is to buy a ready-made drone kit. This kit will contain everything you need for getting started. They cost $200 to $500, depending upon which model you choose.

The other option is to build your drone. Even though this can be difficult, it is still possible to build a drone that will take decent photos or videos.

We recommend that you start with a quadcopter if you want to build your own drone. Like conventional helicopters, quadcopters have four rotors or propellers.

It is much easier to assemble and maintain a quadcopter than a helicopter. It's also cheaper to purchase and easier to carry around.

First, choose the right parts. Motors, batteries and controllers are all required. You should choose the right size and weight.

Next, decide which controller you would like to use. There are many types of controllers available. It is recommended to buy one with a builtin camera so that you don't need to attach another device to your drone.

Once you've chosen the right parts, you're ready to assemble your drone. Pre-assembled kits are recommended to make it easier. You can build your drone on your own by following these steps.

Step 1 Attach the battery pack

To begin building your quadcopter, connect the battery to the motor. First, remove cover plate from bottom of battery pack. Then, slide the battery into place.

Step 2 Connect the motors

Next, install the motors into the correct slots. Each motor should be installed in its own slot. When mounting the motors, ensure they face forward and are parallel to the frame.

Step3: Installing the propeller

Attach the propellers to your frame. Make sure they are at the same distance apart.

Once you have completed all of these steps, your drone is now ready for testing! If there is no movement after you turn on your engine, double-check that you have the propellers facing forward. You should also make sure there is no obstruction between the propellers.

What should I know about the laws regarding drone photography?

Drone flight regulations are controlled by the Federal Aviation Administration. Local laws and regulations may apply, in addition to those of the FAA. You can check with your state's transport department to find out what rules govern drone flights.

In most cases, drone owners are required to obtain a license from the FAA. The FAA has guidelines for licensing. These guidelines can be found here.

In some states, drone operators must register their drones with the government. Learn more about drone registration in our Guide to Drone Registration.

Which are some great places to use a drone to take photos?

Drones can be used to capture stunning images of landscapes and nature. Drones offer the perfect solution for taking stunning photographs of nature and wildlife, as well as beautiful landscapes.

Mountain, deserts, lakes and oceans are all great places to use drones. Drone enthusiasts enjoy taking stunning photos of their surroundings and other local attractions.

To discover new areas, you should shoot at night when the lights illuminate it. You could also shoot during other seasons, especially winter when snow blankets.

How To

Why do drones fly at night?

Two reasons people fly drones at night are curiosity and the desire to capture images.

Drone pilots love to observe the world around them. However, drones can also be flown at night to capture photos of the city landscape.

This is what is known as urban photography and is growing in popularity with drone enthusiasts.

There are many benefits to shooting photos at night. You can capture more detail, better lighting conditions and even the stars.

Many photographers prefer night photography to avoid the constraints of daytime photography.

These are all great benefits, but urban photography is still very popular. People fly drones at nights to capture beautiful nighttime scenes.

They love the way that the lights turn as the sun sinks. So much so that many people have started making videos of themselves flying drones at night and posting them online.

The drone footage's technology isn’t cutting-edge, but the quality is amazing.

It's easy to do without any special equipment. All you need is a smartphone camera.

If you don't have a smartphone, that's perfectly fine. A wide range of high-quality cameras are on the market today, which would make it possible to make great drone videos.

You will find some models that offer night vision capability if you're thinking of buying a DSLR camera.

Canon's EOS 5D Mark III camera comes with an infrared LED system, which allows it to see even in low light conditions.

Additional manufacturers include Olympus and Pentax as well as Sony, Nikon, Olympus and Pentax.

However, not every smartphone can capture drone footage.

iPhones cannot record aerial footage with their front-facing camera. They will have to rely instead on the dual rear camera of the iPhone 8 Plus.

Once you have chosen the camera that you'd like, it's time to decide where to film your video.

You could opt to film your drone footage using a fixed location, or you could choose to follow your subject instead.

You should make sure your subject is visible while filming drone footage. This means that you should keep your drone within range of your subject.

If you stick to this range, you will be able get great results.

Remember that the closer you are with your subject, the sharper the details of your drone footage.

So, try to move towards your subject as quickly as possible.

Now that you are able to fly a drone, let's learn how to edit it.
