Prayers for our friends in Erwin on the Southside of town such as USA Raft, Blue Ridge paddling, along with all the residents and the entire industrial park.. the river has overflowed its banks, grown to a mile wide and is covering both lanes of I26 at the Jackson Love Exit resulting in it being shut down. Erwin is under a state of emergency. As I left there was only one way in or out and that was the middle exit (Jboro/downtown exit) . Special thanks to local and state police, fire/ems and the Swiftwater Rescue teams on site doing what they can to help rescue people, animals and a horse. Yes there were people trapped on the Erwin hospital roof as well as several in the industrial park cut off from the roads .
