#Flood #SouthAfrica #Today

The Western Cape in South Africa has seen a phenomenal amount of rain in the past week and this caused large scale flooding for the 2nd time within 3 months. This has caused multiple dams to open the flood gates and rivers overflowing.

Many towns are experiencing lots of damage which includes businesses, houses and farms. Lots of residents are sitting without electricity and even some towns that are completely cut off, because entrances/exits to these towns were swept away by the water.

I will try and cover more of the damages and flooding within the coming days. Be sure to like and subscribe if you don't want to miss out.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the disadvantages of drone photography?

Drone photography offers a unique way to capture photos and video. There are downsides to flying a small plane.

Drone flying is expensive. It could cost you hundreds, or even thousands of dollars depending on the drone that you buy.

A drone pilot must be trained and certified. This means that you will need to invest your time and money in order to learn how to safely fly them.

Safety is another problem. Drones pose a danger because they are constantly in need of repair and maintenance. It is possible to injure or cause property damage by losing control of your drone while you are taking photos.

It is possible that you spend more time flying a drone than taking photos or filming footage. Additionally, your drone may not be able to fly in the airspace you have.

You may be restricted by local governments as to where your unmanned aerial vehicle can fly. For example, you cannot fly above 400 feet or within five miles of airports, stadiums, hospitals, prisons, schools, nuclear power plants, dams, or any military bases.

Drones aren’t for everyone. These machines can cause anxiety for some people who fear that they may crash or fall from the skies. Others are concerned that they may accidentally hit someone or something else.

If you're not comfortable flying a drone, then maybe you should stick to traditional aerial photography and videography methods instead.

What laws should I be aware of regarding drone photography?

Drone flights are regulated by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Local laws and regulations may apply, in addition to those of the FAA. Check with your state's transportation department to determine which rules govern drone flights.

In most cases, drone owners are required to obtain a license from the FAA. The FAA has guidelines for licensing. Learn more about these guidelines by clicking here.

In certain states, drone operators are required to register their drones at the government. To learn more, visit our Guide to Drone Registration.

Which drone is the best for photography?

Drones are an exciting technology used in various ways, from aerial photography to filming movies and even delivering packages. But what makes drones such useful tool? Drones are now very popular for two reasons. They are versatile tools. There are thousands of ways to use drones. This means you can use them to do almost any type of task you normally use a camera for. They are also very simple to operate. If you have flown a quadcopter before, you already know how simple it is to fly a drone.

Amazing images are another reason drones are so useful. Amazing photos can be captured by drones in places you would not normally visit. These photos include remote areas where you might be in dangerous situations.

Drones can be operated quickly and are easy to use. Once you master the basics, you can use your drone to shoot incredible photos wherever you may be. If you're interested in better photos, take a look at our drone range.

How to fly my drone?

The best way to learn how to fly a drone is by practicing. Drones are more stable than regular aircraft but it takes practice to become proficient. Practice indoors or at home is the best option for beginners.

Three skills are necessary to learn how to fly a drone. These are taking off, hovering, and landing.

Take off

To take off, simply lift the drone into the sky. You can do this by pressing the button on controller until the drone begins moving upward. Stop pushing the button when the drone reaches a desired height.

Hovering

Hovering is a way to keep the drone still in midair. To hover, hold down the left or right trigger while pressing the throttle. By holding down both triggers, you can tilt the drone to move it.

Landing

Landing is the act of returning the drone safely to earth. To land, release your throttle and tilt the controller down toward the ground. This will cause your drone to slow down until it lands.

Flying your drone is a matter of comfort. However, be careful not crash into anything.

Which drone can you use for aerial photography?

Two options are available if you plan to do aerial photography. Either buy an expensive camera package with a gimbal stabilizer or rent a small remote-controlled helicopter.

The first option is great for those who plan to film a video or film. It gives you full control over the final shots. The second option is more expensive and more dependent on the pilot.

But what happens when you want to ensure that the shot looks perfect, even though you aren't controlling the camera? This is where drones come into play.

A drone, a small flying aircraft, can take photos and video by itself without having to be controlled by an operator.

They are versatile and can fly close to structures and buildings to capture photos or film footage. They can also fly low over crowds to capture pictures of people.

Drones are extremely useful for aerial photography as well as videography. But they're also great for marketing because they allow you to create incredible visuals that would otherwise require a lot of manpower and equipment.

They can be placed in strategic places to capture amazing imagery. They can also fly remotely, making them extremely easy to operate.

Companies may hire drones for their weddings. These drone-flying wedding photographers can capture stunning photographs of the bride or groom from above the ceremony area.

They can also fly them directly to the guests to capture family portraits. They can also fly them over reception areas, capturing beautiful views of your venue.

These activities can be used to create promotional material and event coverage. Drones are also great for making short films. You could show clients how your company is better than others by using one.

These are all reasons drones have become increasingly popular in aerial photography and videography. A drone could be your answer to professional photography.

How To

How to create a Time Lapse with a Drone

Time-lapses can be made with two types of cameras: DSLRs (Digital Single Lens Reflex), and which are more expensive than point-and shoot digital cameras.

DSLR cameras also tend to produce higher-quality images due to the way light enters the lens. They are not ideal for video because they require manual focus, exposure and exposure settings.

It is easier for beginners to use point and shoot cameras such as those made of GoPro. However, the lower resolution means videos look grainy.

A consumer drone makes the best time-lapse camera. These tiny flying robots are a popular alternative to professional drones.

A drone, a remote controlled aircraft, is one that can fly independently of human intervention. Although quadcopter drones might have multiple propellers to fly, a drone uses a single propeller.

A drone can not only capture aerial footage but also cinematic shots with a bird’s-eye view. A gimbal stabilizer can be added to drones for smooth handheld footage.

Start recording while the drone hovers over your subject to create a time-lapse. The sky won't appear dark during the shot if the sun isn't directly overhead.

The aperture and shutter speed can be adjusted to create the desired effect. You could, for instance, set the shutter speed to 30 seconds when you're shooting a sunset and leave the aperture wide open so that as much natural light is allowed in.

You should use the opposite approach for night shots. You can reduce light entering your camera by slowing the shutter speed to 1/second and closing the aperture. This produces bright images with details clearly visible.
