Gigafactory Texas! This is where Model Y’s, and Cyber Truck production happens and soon, the Next Generation Car!

An absolutely gorgeous day to fly today and a good thing, since we see some significant milestones and progress all over the site today!

The first news item is the installation of the first large glass panel on the second floor of the south end building extension! This confirms speculation the entire south end of the building will be in glass, from the ground to the roof! Should be spectacular once it is completed!

The second news item is the connection of the Megapacks to the electrical grid for the first time! The three swing-type double ended disconnects on the north end have been repositioned to connect the site to the electrical grid! On the south part of the north electrical system, the breaker arms that connect the Megapacks directly to the factory appear to be still open, so perhaps only the grid stabilization is operational now.

In the video introduction, I provide a brief update of the Lithium Refinery Plant near Corpus Christi, Texas based on some new images by @groundtruthpicsw and @FelixSchlang. I provide some additional background information, illustrations and details to help put these images into context.

A few other items to highlight from today include:

At the temporary electrical switchyard, we see crew preparing to remove the two "A-frames" that originally held insulators and served as the supports for the wires connecting the site to the grid. Additional items have been removed, including the cable tray that once housed the wires that ran from the three control trailers to the electronic equipment.

The Boring Company site was busy this morning, with the thrust-frame ring being prepared for installation on the deep and reinforced foundation with the four eyelets and steel frame encased in the concrete. One of the four new sections of the Prufrock 3 Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) had its tarp removed, suggesting we will see additional assembly soon. Near the belt cassette (conveyor system), a new section defined by concrete Lego blocks has been set up, indicating where the spoils (dirt) will be placed during the tunneling work for removal from the site.

The west support facility continues to make progress, with more markings on the new outbound lot, the continued growth of the Supercharging site on the south end of the new End-of-Line (EOL) facility, and preparation for more asphalt around the entire facility, including concrete curbs outlining where the asphalt will be placed.

The south end of the Battery Cathode plant has had almost all of the missing concrete wall panels placed into the opening where the Pneumatic Blender system was installed, another great sign that things in this plant are at the point where some level of production can commence.

Finally, the new concrete foundation on the south end of the crash testing facility has had the concrete poured, but more rebar sticking up around the perimeter suggests a vertical structure is going to be added to this foundation. Also, around the crash testing facility and the east side of the Battery Cathode Plant, preparation for additional asphalt is underway today!

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it permissible to fly drones at night?

Drones are becoming more popular every day. As well as providing us with amazing aerial shots of our homes and businesses, drones are also useful for surveying large areas, delivering goods, and capturing video footage of events such as sporting matches. However, there are still very few regulations surrounding the use of drones. They have been banned in some US states while others have limited their use.

Drone flying during daylight hours is relatively safe. However, drones can still be dangerous when operated at night. Your safety and that of other pilots may be endangered if you fly your drone at night. Because it is hard to spot hazards and obstacles, mistakes made by pilots could cause an accident.

Drones have become increasingly popular. We need to be able to safely use them. There are currently two types of drones available: fixed-wing as well as rotary-wing. Fixed-wing drones generally have smaller wings and are easier to control than rotary models. A fixed-wing drone usually has four propellers, while a rotary-wing model only has one.

You should be familiarized with all local drone laws to avoid any mishaps. Make sure that your drone comes with lights. This makes it much easier to spot objects that might threaten you. Your camera lens should be protected against any scratches if you plan to take pictures. You should also wear protective goggles if you fly your drone.

Flying drones at night poses a number of dangers, including collisions with power lines, trees, and buildings. A drone could also become lost or fall from the skies. Therefore, you must keep your drone away from obstructions and stay close to the ground. Drones can be exposed to wind gusts and abrupt weather changes. These factors can interrupt your drone's flight, causing it to crash on the ground.

Drones have become increasingly popular, but there are possible health risks. Drones emit noises which can disrupt hearing and cause headaches. Furthermore, the vibrations caused by drones can cause damage to the body. The operator license allows you to fly drones, but it can also lead to legal action and fines.

You can prevent accidents by following these guidelines. It is important to keep your drone in your direct view when you fly it. You should adhere to any restrictions placed by airport authorities if you fly near airports. Be extra careful when flying your drone over water, as it increases the chances of a collision.

What drone is the best for shooting photos?

Drones are an exciting technology used in various ways, from aerial photography to filming movies and even delivering packages. But what makes drones such useful tool? Drones are now very popular for two reasons. They are versatile and easy to use. There are thousands of uses for drones. These drones can be used to perform nearly any task you use a conventional camera for. Secondly, they are very easy to operate. It is very easy to fly a quadcopter if you have ever flown one.

Drones are also great because they can capture amazing images. Amazing photos can be captured by drones in places you would not normally visit. These include remote areas in which you could be put in danger.

Drones are so easy to operate, so anyone can learn how to pilot one quickly. Once you master the basics, you can use your drone to shoot incredible photos wherever you may be. So if you are interested in taking better photographs, check out our drone range today.

Which drone is best for beginners?

Drones that are easy to fly for beginners are the best. These include drones that have an FPV (firstperson view) camera. Users can remotely control the drone with a smartphone application.

Quadcopters can be used for aerial photography. Multirotor models are better suited for advanced features like obstacle avoidance and autonomous flight mode.

In terms of price, there are two types of drones; cheap ones that cost under $100 and expensive ones that cost above $300.

The cheapest models tend to have a limited range, battery life, and flight time. The more expensive models feature greater performance and longer flight durations.

Many beginners prefer to buy cheaper models because they are easier for them to handle and to learn how to use. If you plan on spending hours flying your drone, you might be interested in a higher-end model.

Is a photography drone worth it?

A great product is essential if you are serious about your business. A killer product is essential if you are going to market yourself.

Most photographers aren't selling their work. Instead of convincing others to buy their stuff they're trying convince them.

When you own your company, however, you can't wait for permission from someone else. You will need to get out there and find customers immediately.

This means you need to tell your customers compelling reasons why they should purchase your products.

It is also necessary to develop a marketing strategy. Even if you do all of that, it's possible to fail because you don't know how to correctly price your products.

It is possible to decide to charge too high. Sometimes you might charge too little. If you don't know how much you are charging, you could make a costly mistake.

These mistakes can be avoided by thinking like a businessman. That doesn't mean you have to become a capitalist. What it means is that you must learn how to value your time, money, and effort.

It is important to create strategies that will measure the success and failure of your business.

Once you understand the pricing of your product, you can then focus on building the best product. A product that makes financial and creative sense.

A product that solves real problems and offers real benefits.

One that is unique from the rest.

After you've developed the product, you can launch it. Then you can start building your brand.

It doesn't matter if you are a professional photographer or amateur, a drone is able to take amazing photos. It will enable you to become a professional photographer. It will allow you to enhance your skills. You can also grow your company.

How do I get started drone photography?

There are many ways to get started with drone photography. You can start by buying a drone kit. This will include everything you need to get started. They cost $200 to $500, depending upon which model you choose.

Another option is to build your own drone. Although it is a complicated task, you can still make something that captures decent images and videos.

We recommend that you start with a quadcopter if you want to build your own drone. As found on conventional helicopters, a quadcopter has four rotors (or propellers) instead of two.

A quadcopter is simpler to assemble than a helicopter. It is also less expensive to buy and easier to transport.

You'll first need to select the right parts. You'll need to purchase motors and batteries, controllers, as well as props. It is important to choose the correct size and weight.

Next, decide which controller you would like to use. There are many options available. These include joysticks, touch screens and remote controls. You can attach your drone to the camera with the built-in camera.

Once you've picked the right parts you can start assembling your drone. Pre-assembled kits are recommended to make it easier. However, if you prefer to build your own, you'll need to follow a few steps before assembling your drone.

Step1: Attach the battery pack

To begin building your quadcopter, connect the battery to the motor. To begin, remove the cover plate at the bottom of your battery pack. Slide the battery into its place.

Step 2: Connect the motors

Next, install the motors into the correct slots. Each motor must go into its designated slot. When installing motors, ensure that they face forward while remaining perpendicular with the frame.

Step 3: Install the propeller

Last, attach the propellers and frame. Remember to position them at equal distances apart.

Once you have completed all of these steps, your drone is now ready for testing! If the drone doesn't move when you turn it on, make sure the propellers face forward. Make sure there aren't any obstructions between the propellers.

Can drones take night photos?

Answer: Yes. But we've been doing it for years now. Since decades, we have been taking night shots.

There is one catch. Night photography requires special equipment. Any camera under $10k is not capable of night photography.

When light hits an object, it bounces back in a series of wavelengths.

These wavelengths overlap and combine to form white light at very long distances from the source.

This is how our eyes are able to see colors even when the sun is miles away.

Contrary to popular belief, light that strikes objects close to their source reflects in a narrow range of wavelengths. These wavelengths bounce straight back to us without overlapping.

This means that objects are brighter if they are closer together. This is why objects appear to glow under black light.

The amount of light reflected depends on how much energy the object absorbs. When light hits an object it will reflect more blue light than red.

Blue light is the most sensitive for the human eye. Therefore, objects that are viewed under black lights will look more blue.

This is what drones have to do. A very bright light source is required if you are trying to capture dark areas, such as a forest, or cave.

A regular lamp will not be powerful enough for the illumination of the entire scene. It will give you only a shadowed picture and nothing else.

If you want to get a great picture, you will need a flashgun. And since you don't want to carry around a huge flashgun, you'll need to buy a small one.

These lights are known as speedlights because they produce flashes of light so fast that they create a stroboscopic effect.

The light pulses across the screen when "stroboscopic" is used. The better the quality of the image, the faster it is.

We won't be discussing how to set up Speedlights here. However, there are numerous tutorials online.

We will tell you to make sure that the subject is properly illuminated in order for a clear photograph.

This is achieved by aiming the beam at 45 degrees. You can adjust the flashgun's intensity by moving its head.

Once you have found the right setting, hold the gun steady while pressing the shutter release button.

Then, just before the light reaches the subject, press the shutter again. This will fire another flashgun burst.

The subject will be illuminated by the first burst. The second burst will capture that moment.

The result is a continuous exposure where both bursts of light are recorded.

You now know how to take photos during the day. Let's move onto night photography.

So far I have covered all you need to know about taking night photos.

There's one more thing to be covered: the color balance.

Most people assume that all images taken at nights will be too dark.

And that's true - but it's also true for daytime pictures.

It doesn’t matter whether you’re shooting at dawn or at dusk. The camera will always record a darker shot.
