CONFERENCE INFO:
Join me and Guest Jess Santos Monday January 30th at 6pm Mountain Time! Jess Santos is one of my favorite Milky Way Photography Artists. I emphasize that designation of "artist" because of her command of color theory, design and sense of style. If you have seen a Jess Santos Milky Way, you will recognize the next three you see as hers without even double checking it was her image! Jess is a master at creating a scene that compliments the Milky Way, harnessing a hue from the image and carries it throughout her composition to construct a final image that is incredibly engaging and lovely! I am constantly looking at my single-image Milky Way images and - with a lot of envy - debate whether it is time to master the skills of Jess and her mastery of Blue-Hour Blended Milky Way Photography!

You've got check out the 3 best drones on Amazon while they're on sale
If you are serious about owning your business, then you will soon realize that a great product is vital. If you're going to put yourself out there, you better ensure you've got a killer product.
Most photographers aren't selling their work. Instead of selling their products, they are trying to persuade others to buy them.
But when you're running your own company, you won't be able to afford to wait for someone else to permit you. You will have the ability to find customers today.
This means that you will need to tell a compelling story to convince them why they should choose your products over others.
The strategy you use to market these products will also be important. But even after you've done all that, you still might fail because you haven't figured out how to price your products correctly.
Sometimes, you may charge too much. Sometimes you might charge too little. You're likely to make a mistake regardless of which way you go.
This will help you avoid making costly mistakes. However, this doesn't mean you must become a businessman. This simply means that you must learn to value your money, time and effort.
Also, you must develop strategies to measure your business' success.
Once you've got a handle on pricing, you can finally focus on building the best possible product. A product that's both profitable and creative.
Product that solves problems and delivers real benefits.
One that stands apart from the rest.
Once you've finished building the product, launch it. And you'll be ready to build your brand.
It doesn't matter if you are a professional photographer or amateur, a drone is able to take amazing photos. It will enable you to become a professional photographer. It will also help you improve your photography skills. It will also allow you to grow your company.
Photographers make more than $10k a gig depending on the length of their flights and where they are shooting. You could make as much as $20-30 per hour if you are able to shoot in remote areas like national parks and forests.
An average person makes $15-$25 per hour in retail. This means that you could make $50-$75 flying drones, if you so desired. However, there are also plenty of opportunities to earn even more. Companies that require drone pilots to fly all over the country or internationally will often hire them.
It is possible to charge $100 to $300 per flight depending on how many miles you cover and how much time you spent flying. Although this can quickly add up, if you are passionate about photography and enjoy flying, it could be worthwhile.
It takes practice to fly a drone. Although drones are much more stable than regular aircraft, pilots still need to get experience. Practice indoors or at home is the best option for beginners.
Three skills are necessary to learn how to fly a drone. These are hovering, landing, and taking off.
Take off
Taking off is simply lifting the drone into the air. Once the drone is moving upward, hold down the button on the controller. Stop pushing the button when the drone reaches a desired height.
Hovering
Hovering is when the drone stays in midair. To hover, press and hold the left or the right triggers. The drone can be tilted by pressing the throttle and both triggers.
Landing
Landing is the act of returning the drone safely to earth. To land, release the throttle and tilt the controller downward toward the ground. The drone will slow down and eventually land.
Fly your drone as comfortable as possible. But be careful not to crash into anything.
If a drone becomes an extension of your body, then it's considered to be at a good distance. If you start to see the drone as an entity separate from you, it becomes difficult to recognize its physical boundaries.
You can immerse yourself in your surroundings without worrying about the drone's next move.
There is also a psychological benefit to flying close to the ground. It gives us a sense of control over our surroundings, making us feel more connected with nature.
There are downsides, however. We can damage drones by flying near the ground. How far away can you fly?
The answer depends on the type of drone you are flying. The rule of thumb for aerial footage and filming landscapes is to hover at least 500ft above the ground.
You might limit the height of a cityscape to 1,000 feet. This will allow you to avoid obstructions like trees and buildings.
Drones are more sensitive to low-light conditions. By lowering the altitude, you can reduce time hovering in the dark.
Also, ensure your area is clear from any obstructions, such as power lines or traffic signs.
Consider flying during daylight hours instead of at night. This prevents reflections from streetlights and shadows.
Another thing to think about is the size of the drone itself. The drone must be at least 300 feet from the ground, so the larger it is, the more space it will need. For example, a large quadcopter will usually require a minimum height of 300ft.
You should never miss the golden hour if you are looking for great drone footage.
This is the time between 3 and 6 PM. This is the time when you have maximum visibility because of direct overhead sunlight.
It is also known for its "magic hour", which is perfect for capturing stunning images.
However, it is important to not fly your drone during sunrise or sunset. These times are notorious for producing poor-quality footage.
Now that you've got all these tips, it's time to start creating amazing drone videos.
