SpaceX VP just revealed a HUGE LAUNCH CHANGED that shocked everyone!
SpaceX, the dominant player in aerospace in 2023, is entering 2024 with many challenges ahead. Just in the US, we can list many emerging competitors to challenge them: ULA just launched Vulcan in January, Blue Origin also just released New Glenn hardware and could launch this year, Dream Chaser and Starliner will launch upcoming April, and more.
Faced with these challenges, SpaceX has planned many important strategies, the focus of which will be to push the launch goals to a new level. In October 2023, Bill Gerstenmaier, SpaceX's Vice President of Build and Flight Reliability, revealed SpaceX would increase its 2024 launch target to 144 flights. This target would be 47 percent more than the 98 launches SpaceX completed in 2023.
But recently, the launch goal has changed. At the AstroAward of Everyday Astronaut, Jon Edwards, SpaceX Vice President of Falcon Launch Vehicles gave a new update.
“148 Falcon Launches”.
Wow, that means the new target will be 4 more flights than the previous one, increasing more than 50 percent compared to 2023. This announcement by Jon created a huge excitement and also caused surprise for many people.
With the previous goal of 144 launches, SpaceX would need to launch 12 times per month, but with this new goal, there will be several months that SpaceX had to launch 13 flights. Of course, that's just an average rate because some months can launch fewer or more, for example, in January SpaceX only completed 10 launches.
So why did they increase the launch frequency and where did that increase come from?
In fact, this change in quantity does not affect the initial plan of 144 launches. That’s simply an increase in the quantity. After the aforementioned statement, Jon also explained this: "Because we had to take four from last year and add it to this year".

Frequently Asked Questions

What time is best for drone photography?

A drone could capture images from the air during sunset and sunrise hours, even though there is not much activity at ground level.

Drones make great tools for photographing beautiful landscapes and the skies above them. Some drones cannot fly at night and you may miss amazing views.

If you want to make sure that you capture all the photo opportunities, fly during sunset and sunrise hours. These times allow for stunning shots of nature and are often more popular because there are fewer cars on roads and fewer people.

You'll also find yourself shooting in lower light levels, making it easier to shoot without worrying about overexposing your image.

Furthermore, you don't have to worry about strong winds or rain, snow, fog, or freezing temperatures. These are all factors that make daylight great for photography with a drone.

Consider flying at night if you want to capture nighttime scenes. This will offer you a unique view of your cityscape.

How much money do drone photographers make?

Photographers can earn more than $10k depending on how long they fly and where they shoot. Photographers who work in remote areas, such as forests or national parks, could make upwards of $20-30 per hour.

An average person makes $15-$25 per hour in retail. This means that you could make $50-$75 flying drones, if you so desired. There are plenty of ways to earn more. Most drone pilots fly for companies that require them travel throughout the country, or internationally.

Prices for flights can range from $100 to $300 depending on the amount of time spent flying and the distance covered. This can add up quickly, but if you enjoy flying and love photography, it may be worth it for you.

What kind of drones do professional pilots use?

Drones can be used to take amazing aerial photos. Drones are extremely useful in capturing aerial images and video footage. Drones are also useful for surveying land or taking measurements.

These devices are frequently used commercially for mapping large areas and checking construction sites. They can also be used for other purposes than business.

Drones can also be great entertainment for friends and family. You have many options to fly these machines, and even explore new areas. Drones are great for photographing and recording special events and celebrations.

The sky is the limit when it comes to using drones. Continue reading to find out how you can get the most from your drone.

Which drone can you use for aerial photography?

If you're going to do aerial photography, there are two options. You can either rent or buy a large camera package that includes a stabilizer and gimbal, or you could purchase a more expensive camera package.

The first option is great if you plan to shoot a video or film because it gives you complete control over how the shots look. The second option requires you to pay more and be dependent on the pilot.

What happens if the shot doesn't look perfect? This is where drones come into play.

A drone, a small flying aircraft, can take photos and video by itself without having to be controlled by an operator.

They can fly close enough to buildings or structures to record footage or capture images. They can also fly low over crowds to capture pictures of people.

Drones are incredibly useful for aerial photography and videography. Drones are also great for marketing, as they can be used to create stunning visuals that would otherwise take a lot more manpower and equipment.

To capture incredible imagery, you can place them easily in strategic locations. Plus, they can be flown remotely, which makes them easy to operate.

For example, some companies hire drones for weddings. These drone-flying wedding photographers can capture stunning photographs of the bride or groom from above the ceremony area.

They can also fly the cameras to relatives to capture portraits. Or they can fly them over reception areas to capture beautiful views of the venue.

These types of activities are ideal for creating promotional material or event coverage. Drones can also be used to make short films. You could use one to show clients why your company is better than yours.

These are all reasons drones have become increasingly popular in aerial photography and videography. A drone could be your answer to professional photography.

How To

How to create a time-lapse using a drone

There are two types of cameras that can be used for time-lapse photography: DSLRs (Digital Single Lens Reflex) and point-and-shoot digital camera.

Due to the way light enters the camera, DSLR cameras tend to produce better-quality images. But when shooting video, they aren't ideal because they require manual focus and exposure settings.

It is easier for beginners to use point and shoot cameras such as those made of GoPro. However, the lower resolution means videos look grainy.

The best camera for time-lapsing is a consumer drone. These tiny flying robots are a popular alternative to professional drones.

A drone is an autonomous remote-controlled aircraft that can fly without the need for human intervention. A drone generally uses one propeller to fly. Quadcopter drones could have multiple propellers.

A drone can not only capture aerial footage but also cinematic shots with a bird’s-eye view. To capture smooth handheld footage, drones can be outfitted with a stabilizer.

You can create a time lapse by recording the drone above your subject. If the sun is not directly overhead, the sky will not appear dark during the shot.

To achieve the desired effect you can adjust your shutter speed and aperture. You could, for instance, set the shutter speed to 30 seconds when you're shooting a sunset and leave the aperture wide open so that as much natural light is allowed in.

The opposite approach should be used for night shots. To reduce light entering the camera's sensor, set the shutter speed at 1 second. This produces bright images with details clearly visible.
