This video captures when JC Defeats was attacked by an alligator on August 3, 2022. He was swimming in Lake Thonotosassa shooting an instructional video for an upcoming event for his company, Defeat-X. His drone was recording when the alligator attack happened. By the grace of God the alligator let go and he was able to swim to the nearest dock and got someone nearby to call 911. He suffered through multiple fractures to his skull and jaw and underwent a 6 hour surgery. He is now on the road to recovery and wants to share his story to shine light on the importance of pushing forward despite whatever gets in our way.

Every person is in the midst of fighting their own war, though the fight may be imperceptible to those around them. The team aims to harness sportsmanship, adventure, and fun to win these personal battles and overcome adversity. And we believe that as we experience the elation of overcoming obstacles and accomplishing unforeseen successes, we have the obligation to help others do the same.
This alligator attack has left a big X in JC’s life but there’s no doubt he will defeat it.
