The 2024 Australian Drone Nationals ! What a weekend this has been, stoked to have taken part in this event and met so many online friends in real life. A massive thank you to the event organisers, sponsors, both personal and event, and everyone who showed me kindness with their time and assistance along the road, especially club mates. Nothing is better than a community banding together and supporting each other; it is no surprise that it's one of the best things in drone racing.
At the end of qualifying, I was sitting in 4th place and feeling comfortable that I could maintain a race pace good enough to make the top 10 at the very least. The format was double elimination, which is brutal, and after some bad luck with mid-airs and a mistake, I was out and finished 23rd. Regardless, I am super happy with my flying, and the rest of the competition was an absolute blast. Had so so much fun!! Thank god, plenty to learn and grow from this weekend, I can't wait to see what this next year holds!
