The “California Drone Speed Challenge” is a first-of-it’s-kind drone drag race VIP event - hosted on July 20th, at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco. It first aired on NBC Sports Bay Area, hosted by Ahmed Fareed.
A $10,000 prize purse and ultimate bragging rights were up for grabs as 16 of the fastest pilots in California gathered for a drone drag-race showdown along the “Twisted 1⁄4 Mile” at the ASL dSports World Arena, located within the historic Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco. Plus, an additional $10,000 was donated to "Girls in Tech," a STEM non-profit organization in the name of the winning pilot!
