BLUF: I think the 5.1" 8-blade OCTOblade was the most quiet/pleasant sounding, followed by the HQProp 6-blade 5". What do you think?
I had this idea to make a 3D-printed 8-blade propeller hub for my FPV drones. So I did it. And it actually works surprisingly well! When I tested it out (see other videos) I noticed that it seemed surprisingly quiet. So in this video we'll do some hover tests to get a sound level reference using HQprop 6-blade 5" props and Ethix S3 props, and 8, 6, 4, and 2 blades on the OCTOblade hub. Thanks for joining me!
