In this fun video, we dive into the world of mini drones with a company called #Untei. When my FPV #Drone decided to stop working, I spent a lot of time trying to diagnose the issues. Now while waiting for some needed parts, I figured it would be fun to give these a try when they reached out asking if we'd like to check them out. They only sent these two drones and only asked that we review. There were no instructions from them on what to say, so this was us actually trying them out and playing with them.

Untei sent us these 2 adorable, tiny drones designed for kids to experiment with. Join Ashley and I as we take these little guys for a spin in and around our house to find out just how indestructible they truly are. Ashley only has a small amount of experience with flying quadcopters and FPV, so this was a good test on whether or not it could withstand some real-world crashes. We were lucky to receive both a red and a blue drone from Untei that we may later give away to a viewer / subscriber of the channel. If you would like us to do the giveaway, leave us a comment below.
One thing we noticed right away, a mentioned above, is how durable these drones are. Their bodies are tough PVC material, the same stuff used in racing car toys, allowing them to withstand impact speeds possibly up to 35 miles per hour! Safety is a priority too, with full propeller guards made from Nylon ABS that cover all props, so no accidents with those rotating blades. Plus, there's a handy one-key emergency stop function that can be activated by holding the stop button for a couple seconds.
These drones also come with an Altitude Hold function. That's what automatically keeps the drone hovering in the air, making it super easy for kids and beginners to control. My FPV drones for example, generally fly in acro mode which takes a lot of practice and crashing before getting it right!
We did encounter a few initial hiccups with these drones, as you can see in the video. Mainly due to misunderstandings of how it worked and after going over the instructions again, it made more sense. My experience with Untei's customer service was great as well when we reached out to them with our questions and concerns. they were incredibly helpful and quick to respond. I also see in their reviews that other people felt the same way which is a good sign.
It's worth noting that these drones are not FPV drones; they don't come with a camera. Instead, they fall into the toy Line of Sight (LOS) drone category. So, if you have kids who've been itching to try out a drone, this could be a cool option for some fun with a safer option.
