You might be surprised to know that it is actually less expensive to BUY rather than build your own drone (in most cases).
BUT there are at least TWO GOOD REASONS to build your own. Let's talk about that.

P.S. After making this video, I realized that I did not include a direct price comparison with buying the parts to build a drone that's identical to one you can buy. For now, you'll just have to take my word for it! AND especially if you are an absolute beginner, you'll need to factor in the cost of tools, like a soldering iron, multimeter, drivers, tweezers, as well as shipping cost of the different components.
