$100 Off because I love you I guess:

If you're on a mega-budget, I should make an honorary mention to the good old Phantom 3 Standard. Shoots 2.7k on a 1/2.3" sensor but shoots 12 megapixel RAW photos just like the bigger models. Its really capable and cheap as crap now because its old, should be able to find it used on Craigslist, Ebay, Facebook Marketplace, Offerup for like $250 or lower.

Mavic Mini - $400
2.7k and JPEG only but only $400 and can live in your pocket

Mavic Air 2 - $800
4K 1/2 inch sensor and REALLY bang for your buck at $800, such a good deal. 60fps as well.

Mavic 2 Pro - $1500
4K 1 inch sensor, 20 megapixel RAW photos. The holy grail, still worth it. Still worth just getting and not worth waiting on some Mavic 3 that's 'coming anyday' just like the last 2 years, seriously.

Autel Evo II 6K - $1800 [NOT the 8K version please]
6K 1 inch sensor, 20 megapixel photos. More like 4K-equivalent really. Kind of weird, just got it so still testing but when you get over the odd stuff it has a GREAT picture, maybe on par with the Mavic 2 Pro, but not as intuitive, easy to fly, cool to show all the dads on the beach, or as feature rich. I'll do a review later but so far has helped me pick up exactly 0 step-moms.

Inspire 2 + X5S camera - $8000+ Used
Shoots 5.2K RAW Video (literally filming in RAW photos)
5.2K 422 Prores and 4K Proress 4444 incase you know what that all means. Its an insanely high quality image that is mega flexible and so enjoyable just to watch ungraded b-roll with it, but man is it a pain in the butt to get out, lug around, deal with the attention and the noise it has. It's more like a once in a while, Ace in the hole to blow something out the water or shoot Stock Footage and practice cinematography. Interchangeable lenses are really nice too.

The other option is to build your drone. It's possible to make a drone that takes decent photos and videos, even though it can be complicated.

If you are interested in building your drone, we recommend you begin with a quadcopter. As found on conventional helicopters, a quadcopter has four rotors (or propellers) instead of two.

It is much easier to assemble and maintain a quadcopter than a helicopter. It is also less expensive to buy and easier to transport.

First, select the right components. You will need props, motors, batteries controllers and controllers. Be sure to select the right size and weight.

Next, you'll need to decide what controller you'd like to use. Many different types are available, such as joysticks, touch screens, and remote controls. You can attach your drone to the camera with the built-in camera.

Once you have selected the correct parts, it's time to assemble your drone. To make things easy, we recommend buying a preassembled kit. If you would prefer to build your drone yourself, there are a few things you need to do.

Step 1: Attach battery pack

To begin building your quadcopter, connect the battery to the motor. To begin, remove the cover plate at the bottom of your battery pack. Slide the battery into its place.

Step2: Connect your motors

Next, you'll need to install the motors in the appropriate slots. Each motor should be installed in its own slot. When installing the motors, make sure they face forward and are perpendicular to the frame.

Step 3: Install the propeller

Attach the propellers to your frame. You should position them at equal distances.

Now it's time to test your new drone. If the engine does not move, ensure that the propellers are facing forward. Make sure the propellers are free from obstructions.

What time of day is best for drone photography?

A drone could capture aerial images during sunrise and sunset hours when there isn't much activity on the ground.

Drones can capture beautiful photographs of landscapes and the sky over them. You might not be able to capture spectacular night views because drones are not allowed to fly at night.

Consider flying at sunrise or sunset to ensure that you are not missing out on any photo opportunities. These times allow for stunning shots of nature and are often more popular because there are fewer cars on roads and fewer people.

You'll find that you can shoot at lower levels of light, which makes it easier for you to take pictures without worrying about overexposing.

A drone is also immune to strong winds and rain. All these factors make daylight ideal for taking photos with a drone.

However, if you want to capture some nighttime scenes, consider flying during moonlit nights. This will allow you to see the cityscape from a different perspective.

How do I fly my drone?

You need to practice flying a drone. Although drones are much more stable than regular aircraft, pilots still need to get experience. For beginners, we recommend practicing indoors or close to home.

There are three essential skills that you need to know in order to fly a Drone. These are hovering, takingoff, and landing.

Take Off

Simply lift the drone in the air to take off. You can do this by pressing the button on controller until the drone begins moving upward. Once the drone reaches a certain height, stop pushing the button.

Hovering

Hovering refers to keeping the drone in midair. Holding down either the left or right triggers while pressing the throttle will allow you to hover. You can move the drone by tilting the controller by holding down both triggers.

Landing

Landing means returning the drone to earth safely. Release the throttle and turn the controller toward the ground to land. The drone will eventually slow down, and then land.

If you feel comfortable flying your drone, take it out of the house. Be careful not to crash into any object.

How To

How to Create a Time-Lapse Using a Drone?

There are two types of cameras that can be used for time-lapse photography: DSLRs (Digital Single Lens Reflex) and point-and-shoot digital camera.

DSLR cameras also tend to produce higher-quality images due to the way light enters the lens. Videography is not as easy because you need to manually focus and adjust the exposure.

It is easier for beginners to use point and shoot cameras such as those made of GoPro. Videos can look grainy due to the lower resolution.

A consumer drone is the best camera to time-lapse. These small flying robots offer a cheaper alternative to professional drones.

A drone is a remote control aircraft that flies autonomously without human intervention. Although quadcopter drones might have multiple propellers to fly, a drone uses a single propeller.

Drones can be used to capture cinematic footage from a bird's-eye view. For smooth handheld footage, drones may be outfitted to include a gimbal stabilizer.

If you want to create a timelapse, record while the drone hovers just above your subject. If the sun doesn't directly over the subject, the sky won't look dark during the shot.

To achieve the desired effect you can adjust your shutter speed and aperture. For example, if you're filming a sunset, the shutter speed could be set to 30 seconds while the aperture is wide open to let in as much natural light as possible.

The opposite approach is recommended for night shots. Use a slow shutter speed of 1 second and close the aperture to reduce the amount of light entering the camera. This produces bright images with details clearly visible.
